Two years after Cry Macho, the tireless Clint Eastwood returned to work after the writers’ and actors’ strike. The 93-year-old filmmaker is tackling his new project entitled Juror #2.

This is the 40th feature film of his career as a director. The Hollywood legend left his mark on cinema, notably winning 4 Oscars (Best Film and Best Director for Impitoyable and Million Dollar Baby).

Juror #2, what will this say?

Eastwood will tell us the story of a man chosen to be a member of the jury in a murder trial. During the hearing, he realizes that he could be the real murderer. A difficult dilemma then arises for him. Should he confess to the crime and follow the law or take advantage of his position to manipulate the other members of the jury and get away with it?

What casting for Juror #2?

After being interrupted last June due to the actors’ and writers’ strike, filming on Juror #2 resumed in Savannah, Georgia. Nicholas Hoult, the new Lex Luthor of the DCU, plays the main character named Justin Kemp.

He will play alongside Toni Collette (the prosecutor), Zoey Deutch (Justin’s wife) and Chris Messina (a court-appointed lawyer). The latter is notably illustrated in Air by Ben Affleck.

A release date for Juror #2?

For the moment, no release date has been announced for maestro Clint Eastwood’s latest opus. However, given the speed with which the director shoots his films, we can expect a theatrical release in 2024.

The filmmaker is collaborating again with the Warner Bros. studio, despite the dismal failure of Cry Macho at the box office and its 16 million dollars collected worldwide. Regardless, despite his great age, the Hollywood legend is still there, ready to unveil his final project. We’ll need a little more patience before we find out more.
