Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan’s new Western series Landman sees a Yellowstone alum along with three other actors joining its cast.
Taylor Sheridan’s new series Landman finds its main cast members, including a Yellowstone alum. Sheridan is the creator behind the hit Western series Yellowstone, which will air its final episodes this year. After Yellowstone season 5 part 2, one of Sheridan’s next projects is Landman, which is based on the podcast “Boomtown” that follows a West Texas town in an oil boom.
According to Variety, Landman has now added four new actors to its cast. These actors include Yellowstone alum James Jordan, along with When Calls the Heart’s Kayla Wallace, Nashville’s Mark Collie, and The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia’s Paulina Chávez. Jordan, Wallace, Collie, and Chávez will play characters named Dale Bradley, Rebecca Savage, Sheriff Joeberg, and Ariana, respectively.
Who Are The New Landman Characters?
In addition to the casting announcements, character descriptions for each of the new stars were announced. Jordan’s Dale Bradley was described as “a petroleum engineer and a blue-collar bear of a man who manages and works with roughnecks in the oil fields. He’s also Tommy Norris’ roommate.” Tommy Norris is played by Billy Bob Thornton, who was previously announced to star in the show. Sheriff Joeberg is described as, simply, “a West Texas sheriff.”
Wallace’s Rebecca Savage was said to be “an extremely capable and intimidating liability attorney sent to West Texas to clean up a mess.” On the other hand, Chávez’s Ariana is “a young mother whose family has suffered a misfortune.” This cast of four characters seems like a varied lot, adding to the intrigue of Landman as it explores the complex dynamics of a town in an oil boom.
The four new actors join Thornton and several others already cast in Landman. These cast members include Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, and Jacob Lofland. Landman is co-created by Sheridan alongside Christian Wallace, and produced by Sheridan with Bosque Ranch Productions, alongside fellow producers David Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, and Bob Yari. Landman does not yet have a release date but the Sheridan show will release on Paramount+ when it is finalized.
