Back in September 2023, World of Wonder bosses Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato announced that the Drag Race universe would be expanding with the Winter-themed spin-off.

While the pair refrained from sharing details about the cast, they did tease that six “fabulous, larger-than-life queens” from across the expansive franchise would come together for a snow-filled vacation at a Canadian winter cabin.

“Of course, there’s always a twist – or even a twist on a twist – but you will see these artists as you have never seen them before,” Bailey and Barbato added.

“We are excited to launch this World of Wonder format with our wonderful partners Blue Ant Media and Crave, and to bring this super fun show to audiences on Crave and WOW Presents Plus around the world.”

Over the last few months, fans have eagerly awaited more information about the highly anticipated six-part series.

Fortunately, on 6 June, World of Wonder and Crave finally released the first sneak peek into Slaycation, which is set to feature Jada Shada Hudson (Canada’s Drag Race Season 3), Kerri Colby (RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14), Kandy Muse (RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 13), Luxx Noir London (RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15), Lawrence Chaney (RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 2) and Boa (Canada’s Drag Race Season 1).

Throughout the brief teaser, the aforementioned queens are shown frolicking in the snow and participating in various activities, such as sledding, tubing, ice skating, drinking, and axe-throwing.

In addition to the queens revelling in some much-needed R&R, the trailer features the group preparing a fierce drag show for the mountain town’s residents.

“Seven days in a chalet in the snowy mountains and, at the end of it all, a glorious finale hot enough to melt the coldest balls,” the narrator exclaims.

Shortly after the trailer dropped, Drag Race fans flocked to social media to express excitement for the new series.

One person on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: ” They all look so good!! Excited for this!

Another fan tweeted: “Drag Race Real World, I’m obsessed.”

A third user added: “Now this is the type of shit we want!!!!”

As of this writing, a release date for the World of Wonder and Crave series has yet to be announced. However, a winter premiere date has been confirmed.
