Season 2 of Tulsa King: What to Expect

After a very lengthy and successful career acting in some of Hollywood’s most iconic movies, Sylvester Stallone made his television debut in 2022 with Tulsa King. With Season 2 set to premiere next month, viewers can expect the ten-episode season to capitalize off of the first season’s success with over 3.7 million viewers, making a record-breaking debut. The Emmy-nominated show will bring back Martin Starr, Jay Will, and Max Casella for Season 2 and has added Frank Grillo, Tatiana Zappardino, and Neal McDonough to the cast, playing the role of Carl Thrasher. Season 2 will accompany Dwight as he grows his criminal empire in Tulsa. In the Season 2 teaser released by Paramount+ earlier this summer, Dwight’s voice is featured, saying “Tulsa belongs to me now.”

Stallone plays the role of Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a mafia capo from New York City. After being released from prison, Dwight is exiled by the same crime family he had gone behind bars to protect. Dropped off in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the former capo sets out to build his own crime family. After the first season, Terence Winter stepped down as showrunner and joined the second season as a writer and executive producer. This was caused by disagreements about creative direction with Taylor Sheridan, the show’s creator.

Tulsa King Season 2 is set to premiere on September 15 on Paramount+ within the United States and Canada. International audiences will be able to stream the new season on September 16.
