Farmer Wants a Wife Australia 2023‘s Matt Young and Olivia Benic have announced they’ve welcomed a baby following a secret pregnancy.

Yep, the young couple who found love on Channel Seven‘s hit dating show last year dropped the surprise news on Instagram on August 17.

Alongside a snap of Matt and their new arrival, Olivia thanked loved ones for “helping [them] enjoy this wonderful experience privately”.

“286 days of carrying you, eight hours of labour without pain relief, and what has felt like a lifetime of waiting…our little bubba entered our little family happy and healthy on Thursday,” she penned.

“Thank you to our close friends, family, and baggy clothes (haha) for helping us enjoy this wonderful experience privately and with so much unconditional support.”

Olivia went on to say that she and Matt will be MIA from social media “for a little while” as they “settle into parenthood”.

“We are so very happy and look forward to sharing more when we are ready.”

The comment section was flooded with love from friends, family and fellow Farmer Wants a Wife alumni.

“Oh my goodness… Congratulations, so happy for you both!” Matt and Olivia’s FWAW 2023 co-star Claire Saunders wrote.

Meanwhile, 2024 contestant Keely McCarthy offered a simple “congratulations”.

The reality couple’s exciting news follows their March announcement that they’d purchased their first home together.
