Home and Away is set to air a horror surf accident for Xander Delaney that leads to a reunion with Dana Matheson.
Yesterday’s (August 28) UK-pace episode, which aired on Channel 5 and 5STAR, saw Dana admit that she can’t commit to a life with Xander at such an early stage in their relationship.
After an outburst at the diner, Dana breaks up with a devastated Xander, revealing she couldn’t see a future for them. Sadly, things go from bad to worse for Xander in upcoming scenes.
In scenes set to air next week, Xander approaches Dana while she is on patrol, but she is distracted by Harper, who reveals she is pregnant with Tane’s baby following their recent one-night stand.
In the surf, Theo sees Xander hit his head and quickly drags him to shore. Dana soon forgets about their argument and rushes to be at his side.
At the hospital, Bree reveals that Xander has no fractures and should recover fully soon. However, when she tries to remove his neck brace, Xander stops her and says he can’t feel his legs – leaving Dana extremely worried.
Xander soon tells his ex to leave, saying he’s not her problem anymore. Despite Xander’s wishes, Dana stays at the hospital overnight.
She then goes in to see him again after receiving encouragement from Rose. Once inside, she says that if he wants her to go, he should just say.
But as Dana turns to leave, Xander grabs her hand and pleads with her to stay. Will Xander recover from his injuries?
Later, Xander is still disheartened over the loss of feeling in his legs and worries that it could be a permanent condition.
While on shift as a nurse, Dana uses Rose to help her try to improve Xander’s mood, but he’s resistant. When Rose brings him a pizza, though, he can’t help but crack a smile at their efforts to cheer him up.
When Dana then brushes past his leg, Xander quickly realises he has regained feeling, and the pair celebrate with a kiss. After an awkward conversation, they decide to get back together.
