Many fans hope Yellowstone wouldn’t end, but as Season 5, Part 2 is set to premiere onParamount+ in November, everyone is waiting for the show to officially come to a conclusion.

They are not by themselves! The actor who portrays Rip Wheeler, Cole Hauser, recently acknowledged that he would likewise want nothing more than to carry on with this role.

To the extent that he ‘encouraged’ executive producer and creator of Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan, to pen a spinoff, that is.

“Yellowstone’s” Cole Hauser – ‘I Don’t Make The Decisions …’

During a recent interview with Cigar Aficionado, Hauser was asked about a possible Yellowstone spinoff. He replied stating, “I don’t make the decisions, brother – I’m a hired gun.”

The actor continued with, “Would I like a spinoff? Yeah. It’s been a pleasure working with the cat, with Taylor Sheridan; why would we stop at a good thing? Yes, pen it and let’s do it.”

Interestingly enough, during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kelly Reilly, who plays Rip’s better half, Beth Dutton, admitted that when she was filming Season 1 of Yellowstone, Sheridan stated the show was always slated to have five seasons. Looks like there’s no way that Yellowstone will go on, but could fans see a spinoff?

Reports Indicate There’s A Possibility

Having said that, just this past August, reports surfaced that Reilly and Hauser with both in talks for an additional season of Yellowstone and that the show might not be cancelled after Season 5, Part 2.

Prior to that, about two years ago, rumors were buzzing of a Yellowstone spinoff starring Matthew McConaughey, along with some OG cast, which would be titled “2024”.

For a long time, there were rumors that McConaughey was interested in writing a script, but that never materialized. As of right now, no Yellowstone spinoff has been announced by Sheridan or Paramount+.

In the meantime, Cole continues the discussion by expressing his passion for his Rip persona and saying, “You don’t get to see real American men this way anymore.” Despite his occasional odd behavior, he is trustworthy, devoted, and has a wonderful heart. I could go on and on about the comprehension of nature and the simplicity of life.
