Tom Cruise reportedly fears cosmetic surgery due to concerns of looking like a “caricature” of himself, opting instead for non-invasive methods.

Action hero legend Tom Cruise has proven that he isn’t scared of many things, considering how he has pulled one too many death-defying stunts just for the sake of authenticity and some adventure. This includes his most-talked-about stunt for Mission: Impossible 7, where he drove off a cliff on a motorbike after practicing with 500 skydives and jumping over 13,000 motocross times.

But while the 62-year-old actor is inevitably not scared of falling to his death or meeting death some other way while performing his deadly stunts, Cruise seems to be absolutely ‘terrified’ of going under the knife. Per inside reports, the actor is trying to find a way to fix his eye bags but is reportedly not opting for cosmetic surgery as he fears it might make him a ‘caricature’ of himself.

Tom Cruise is Reportedly ‘Terrified’ of Going Under the Knife

While his death-defying stunts are one to gain him the attention of the entire world, Tom Cruise’s charms are further elevated by his handsome facial features. But the 62-year-old heartthrob isn’t getting any younger with each passing day, and recent reports claim that something is posing a barrier to his charms: He is plagued with droopy bags under his eyes.

According to recent claims by an insider source to In Touch, this turn of events isn’t good for the Top Gun star. If anything, “It’s a nightmare because his face is his moneymaker. He needs to look good on camera. Everyone is telling him to bite the bullet and just get them fixed. It’s a quick surgery and pretty well everyone these days does it, but Tom is still holding out.”

Apparently, Cruise is too scared to get plastic surgery. Because of all the ways it could possibly go wrong, he seemingly fears surgery might make him look something similar to what he had to endure a few years ago, when he got talked into getting filler in his face. That ended up with his chipmunk cheek nightmare, which took months to subside and ostensibly left him ‘humiliated.’

That said, now Tom Cruise isn’t even so much as contemplating the idea of going under the knife once again to gain back at least some of his youthful freshness. “He hates the idea of going under the knife because he’s terrified that it could leave him looking like a caricature of himself, he’s seen so much bad plastic surgery in his time,” per what the source claimed to In Touch.

Nonetheless, the Eyes Wide Shut star hasn’t held back on his other options. As per the source, “he’s tried every possible non-invasive procedure to get rid of his under-eye bags and nothing has really helped.” At the same time, reports have also revealed that Cruise is taking his anti-wrinkle crusade to dangerous new levels, with biohacking reportedly becoming one of his new big passions.

Meanwhile, Biohacking Has Become “One of Tom’s big passions”

As per previous claims from an insider to Heat World, “Biohacking is one of Tom’s big passions.” This new cryotherapy habit sees Tom Cruise immersing himself in water at a freezing or near-freezing temperature for a few minutes at a time in his pursuit of youth. Doing so seems to reduce inflammation, tighten skin, support fat loss, and even fight chronic diseases.

While this was previously restricted to him taking ice baths for quite a few years, the Jack Reacher star seems to have upped his game in recent times. Per the source, he has “gotten a cryotherapy chamber for his home, so that he can literally freeze himself every day as a way to boost his metabolism and slow down the aging process. He’s convinced that it gives him an edge.”

But while this is enough to leave his inner circle worried that Cruise might be putting himself in too much danger with his at-home icing routine, the worst part is that this trick doesn’t seem to work for the eye bags on his handsome face. Though he may be refusing to accept this declining situation, “the reality is that his skin’s starting to sag a lot more and his limbs are starting to creak.”

Nevertheless, Tom Cruise isn’t one to give up so easily. “He’s frantically looking into other, less invasive ways of fixing his under-eye bags. He spends a fortune on serums and topical treatments, and he’s always trying out the latest gadgets but so far nothing is working and he’s fixated on it.” What remains to be seen is how this series of events ends up turning out for him.
