After six years and five-and-a-half seasons, “Yellowstone” is coming to an end on Sunday, Dec. 15.
Warning: There are spoilers ahead, so if you’re not caught up with the season, go watch it with Philo (free trial).
With so much at stake for the Dutton family, their ranch, and the Yellowstone cowboys, one major question has arisen: will Kevin Costner actually show up in the finale?
Following the death of his character, John Dutton, who had previously served as the series protagonist, the specter of Costner returning for some kind of sendoff has hung above the series.
Unfortunately, at the moment, there’s no clear answer to that question. The finale is entitled “Life is a Promise,” and according to its official description, “the fate of the ranch” will be revealed. While that doesn’t give us a clear answer, it seems reasonable to speculate that Costner may return for a flashback revolving around earlier events on the ranch, or with his children.
Either way, here’s everything you need to know to watch the finale. You don’t want to miss it if he does show up.
Where can I watch “Yellowstone” season 5 part 2 on-demand?
Not on Paramount Plus
But that doesn’t mean there aren’t easy ways to catch up with “Yellowstone” season 5 part 2 before the finale.
There are a handful of live TV streaming services that carry the episodes live as they air. They also offer the new episodes on-demand for a few weeks afterward, in case you weren’t around to watch when they were airing.

Each service can also be used to record the show through their DVR functions, and they all offer a free trial if you’re looking to try them out.
When will “Yellowstone” season 5 part 2 be released on Peacock?
We can’t say for sure, but we can make an informed guess.
There is no official confirmation regarding the Peacock release of “Yellowstone” season 5 part 2.
However, the first half of season 5 concluded on Jan. 1, 2023. A little more than 5 months later, on May 25, those first 8 episodes of the season were released on Peacock.
The series will air its finale on Dec. 15. This makes it likely (but not guaranteed) that the series will be available to view, in its entirety, some time in May of 2025.
Where can I watch the “Yellowstone” spinoffs? Where can I watch “1923″ and “1883?”
While Paramount Plus does not and will not stream episodes of “Yellowstone,” you still can watch “Yellowstone”-related shows. The sole season of “1883″ is only available on Paramount Plus. There are no other places to watch it. The same is true of “1923.”
You can sign up for Paramount Plus on the streaming service’s website. Currently, Paramount Plus features two subscription plans: a “limited commercials” option for $8 per month, and a premium “no commercials” option for $12 per month ($120 annually). You can try out either tier with a full 7-day free trial.
Paramount Plus will also be the home of upcoming “Yellowstone” spinoffs such as “1944,” the sequel to “1923,” and present-day spinoff “6666.”
Remember, though, that while Paramount Plus carries the “Yellowstone” spinoffs, it does not carry new or old seasons of “Yellowstone” itself.
