Yellowstone’s Kelly Reilly shared that while filming the role of Beth Dutton on the hit Paramount series playing her character “changed” and “challenged” her during hard times
Lead Yellowstone star Kelly Reilly paid a heartfelt tribute to her character Beth Dutton after the shocking series finale aired on Sunday.
The actress took to Instagram to share with her 954,000 followers her goodbye message and personal reflections on filming the critically acclaimed Western.
“Hi, I’m so deep into another role at the moment about another land worth fighting for in the UK .. but across the pond the finale is happening tonight of the show. Whatever the future holds this is the ending of the show we have been making for the past 7 years,” Reilly wrote to her fans.
“Words cannot convey how I feel about the people I got to work and create with over the seasons. I have made true life long friends. The support from the crew and the trust and dedication of the cast. The words I got to say and the woman I got to inhabit. It changed me. It lit me up. It challenged me in every way possible, and I will forever be grateful for it,” Reilly captioned a video highlight. The British bombshell went on to thank the show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan, for taking her on this wild ride. “For Taylor Sheridan, who took a chance on me and continued to write her in ways I got to feel on fire as an actor. Thank you Taylor,” she penned to Sheridan.
Previously, in an intimate conversation with Drew Barrymore on her CBS talk show, Reilly gave a revealing glimpse into the impact playing Beth had on her during challenging periods in her life. “I was in a deep grief, and I hadn’t figured out who I was beyond that, and I was in a fog at that moment. And then this character lands in my lap and I was like, ‘What am I going to do with this? ‘She became this kind of life raft for me,” Reilly told Barrymore.
Although the original award-winning series has ended, Reilly will reportedly reprise her role as Beth in a forthcoming Yellowstone sequel.
