WSB Recruited The Wrong General Hospital Legacy Kid

Why Joss isn’t the right fit.

General Hospital fans first met the World Security Bureau in the early 1980s, when dashing super-spy Robert Scorpio turned up in Port Charles in an attempt to stop the Cassadine family from taking over the world via the Ice Princess statue and an evil weather machine. Once that threat was neutralized, there was the Prometheus Disc to disarm (it was a small poker chip that could blow up the world).

Since that initial introduction, we’ve met O’Riley, Anna Devane, Sean Donely, Frisco Jones, Valentin Cassadine, and a whole host of other agents. But they’re all getting up there in years. Like any organization, the WSB needs fresh blood. We get that. We just question who they chose to recruit.

The Worst Witch

Joss (Eden McCoy)? For realz? This is who Brennan (Chris McKenna) is desperate to bring into the fold. We’d understand if it was to bring down Sonny (Maurice Benard) or to ingratiate himself with Carly (Laura Wright).

But he seems to think Joss would actually…be a valuable asset. Based on what? Her studying medicine for a hot minute before dropping it for a different major? Her having had a kidney transplant as a kid and thus being in constant danger of rejection could be problematic on long-term and undercover missions.

Her impulsive decision-making on everything from sleeping with Dex (Evan Hoffer) while still technically dating Cameron (William Lipton) to shooting Cyrus (Jeff Kober)? Why groom Joss when you’ve got a more natural candidate right there?

Legacy Admissions

Emma (Braedyn Bruner) is the granddaughter of two WSB agents, Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Anna (Finola Hughes). She is the goddaughter of two more agents, Sean (John Reiley) and Frisco (Jack Wagner). Her mom, Robin (Kimberly McCullough), spent most of her childhood getting kidnapped and escaping life-threatening situations. Emma is the one who was born to this lifestyle — not Joss.
