RuPaul’s Drag Race Star Peppermint Lost 100 Lbs. With Weight-Loss Injections

The 45-year-old was able to reverse her pre-diabetes

RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Peppermint revealed that she’s lost 100 lbs. with the help of weight-loss injections.

The 45-year-old — who appeared in season 9 of the competition series — spoke to PageSix during the Love Rocks NYC concert benefit and shared that she lost weight by taking a GLP-1 drug, like Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound and Mounjaro. The decision came after she was “diagnosed as pre-diabetic a couple of years ago.”

“I was able to get together with my doctor and endocrinologist, and I’m very grateful that I’m at a point now where I have access to levels of healthcare that I didn’t have before,” she told the outlet.

Peppermint said she initially tried to lose weight through diet and exercise” but she didn’t have any success over the years. Now, after dropping 100 lbs., she said she’s no longer pre-diabetic.

“I was really worried that my life was going to change irreversibly once I crossed that threshold,” she said. “I was hovering around that threshold for so long, and I’m happy that I’m not now.”

Peppermint boasted that she’s had to update her wardrobe because her “clothes are fitting differently” after the weight-loss injections.

However, despite the physical transformation, she said not much has changed.

“I feel like the same person,” she said, noting that she simply feels younger. “I feel like I can walk up the steps a little easier and not be like, ‘Oh, my knee!’”
