Farmer Wants A Wife: ‘Chaos’ Ensues, Host Kimberly Williams-Paisley’s Husband Brad Paisley Cameos In Season 3 Promo

‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ returns Thursday, March 20 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox

Farmer Wants a Wife is not only bringing love and “chaos” in its upcoming third season. Fans will also be in for a major, star-studded treat!

PEOPLE has an exclusive preview of the new season hosted by Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who is taking over the reins from Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles after she hosted the first two seasons. The new clip, premiering days ahead of the show’s big return on Thursday, March 20, features a surprise cameo from Kimberly’s country singer husband Brad Paisley, who stops by as she talks to the women competing for the hearts of farmers Matt Warren, Jay Woods, John Sansone and Colton Hendricks.

Together, the longtime couple opens up about their own love story for the ladies.

“We’ve made it work for 21 years, so if we can do it, anyone can do it,” Kimberly, 53, says before Brad, 53, jokingly asks, “It’s 21 years?”

“Yeah, shut up,” she responds while giving him a playful nudge, making the women laugh.

Elsewhere in the clip, fans are given a preview of Kimberly introducing the farmers as “four very handsome, very single farmers.”

The video then cuts to a brief introduction of each of the men. Missouri native Farmer John, 25, shares that he considers himself an “urban cowboy,” while California native Farmer Matt, 30, explains that he is “looking for somebody to be all in this life.”

“A lot of dating options in Mena [Ark.] … if you’re like 80,” jokes Farmer Colton, 28, a native of Arkansas.

“I definitely want to find the right one to bring home to momma,” says Alabama native Farmer Jay, 25, during his introduction.

Viewers are then shown a preview of the many women competing for the farmer’s love. Each farmer has eight women in their group, though the men soon begin dwindling their contenders.

The women are seen participating in activities around their respective farmers’ properties like riding horses, picking fruit trees and interacting with chickens. And while many of them might think they’re a “catch” who is ready for the life of a farmer’s wife, the ladies are in for a rude awakening — especially as “the chaos” sets in.

“It just got really real,” one teary-eyed female contender says as she holds onto a tissue.

Meanwhile, Farmer Jay notes that “it went from zero to 100 real quick.”

Then, with a shaky voice, another competing woman declares through tears: “I want to go home.”

Host Kimberly previously shared that she enjoyed being a part of the unscripted series because it allowed her to be herself.

“Because I’m a city girl who embraced the country life when I married my husband twenty-one years ago, I related to the allure of a farmer for these ladies,” she said. “I really appreciate how dedicated this show and its producers are in helping these hopeful farmers and women find love.”
