This 2021 Neo-Western drama with a familiar face just landed on the Netflix Charts. It seems people who missed out on Cry Macho during its theatrical run are hitting play this week. If you are unfamiliar with this Clint Eastwood project, then no worries. We are about to share our notes on this gripping motion picture.
“From Warner Bros. Pictures comes director/producer Clint Eastwood’s uplifting and poignant drama Cry Macho. The film stars Eastwood as Mike Milo, a one-time rodeo star and washed-up horse breeder who, in 1979, takes a job from an ex-boss to bring the man’s young son home from Mexico. Forced to take the backroads on their way to Texas, the unlikely pair faces an unexpectedly challenging journey, during which the world-weary horseman finds unexpected connections and his own sense of redemption.”
Eastwood fans are happy to see him still making movies in his 90s. While many viewers hope this will not be his final project because they admire his work so much.

Clint Eastwood does it again. Now available on DVD from @WarnerBros: #CryMacho. Another pan-generational road movie, in which a world-weary Clint is partnered with a chicken. It’s tough to calculate but Clint’s been in, or behind the camera for, approx. 83 films. He’s 91. pic.twitter.com/DpPGQmySXb

Clint Eastwood is such a legend. He‘s 91 and still not only giving us good performances, but also consistently (mostly) good movies („15:17 to Paris“ being the exception).
A fun and engaging character-driven road movie with good performances.#CryMacho is Cinema for the Soul! https://t.co/DOykxMJZeI
