Despite shelling out a princely sum to renovate her Beverly Hills mansion, Adele still doesn’t live there, the Sun reports.
According to the publication, the singer has spent millions making adjustments to the residence, which she bought from Sylvester Stallone in 2022.
The “When We Were Young” crooner,” 36, gave the “Rocky” star, 77, $58 million (most of which she reportedly needed to borrow) for his 18,500-plus-square-foot home. And while she initially planned to keep it as is, that quickly shifted.
“When Adele bought the house she didn’t intend to change too much. But she has a team of Hollywood experts on board who suggested the extra floor,” a source told the Sun. “The house will be absolutely gigantic by the time it’s done. But it is looking incredible and she thinks it’s worthwhile. She wants it to be her forever home with her son Angelo and partner Rich Paul, and she dreams of extending her family there.”
When Adele purchased the 3.5-acre address within the guard-gated North Beverly Park area, it featured a sprawling Italian Riviera-style residence with eight bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, sweeping city and canyon views, a two-story foyer, and a two-story guest house.
Since acquiring it, though, she has brought on the celebrity construction firm Valle Reinis and altered and expanded it so dramatically that it is nearly unrecognizable, with one of the only consistencies being a statue of Stallone in “Rocky” that the songstress fought to have be included in her purchase.
Stallone had planned to take the statue, in which his fist is raised in the air, with him after parting with his old pad, but Adele wouldn’t have it.
“She said, ‘That’s a no deal. That’s gonna blow the whole deal.’ She wanted the statue,” Stallone told the Wall Street Journal last year.
