Arnold Schwarzenegger is said to have made peace with his former enemy and rival Sylvester Stallone because of an esteemed Hollywood lawyer, with the reasoning behind their union quite surprising.
Legendary Hollywood lawyer Jake Bloom was announced to have died at the start of September. He was 81 years of age. The esteemed lawyer’s memorial service was held just last week.
Jake was known to have had a glowing roster of clients before his passing, with him having worked for the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Johnny Depp, Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone, and Jackie Chan.
Dying of natural causes in Sun Valley, Idaho at the start of September, Jake’s memorial was held last week and attended by some of the most famous faces in Hollywood. And during the service, a shocking revelation was made.
Speaking at the service on Thursday, October 19, Terminator actor Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed that the late lawyer helped him and Sylvester Stallone reconcile when he brought them into the Planet Hollywood deal way back when in 1991.
Arnold spoke of how he despised Sylvester at the beginning of their careers. Incredibly competitive about various things, from the size of their muscles to how much money they were earning, the pair were at loggerheads until they united thanks to Jake.
Recalling how he was angry to learn that Sylvester had become a client of Jake’s, he then revealed that he was even more angry when he learned that he wanted to partner up with him and make him an owner of Planet Hollywood.
But then Arnold revealed that Jake convinced him that it would be better for business if Sylvester did come in on the project. And a mourner who attended the service spilled to Page Six that because the pair ended up spending so much time together while promoting the eatery, they became close friends.
