Clint Eastwood’s final film, Juror No. 2, has officially received its release date, though questions remain about whether the film will get a wide release.

Per Collider, the Hollywood icon’s final film will release in select theaters on Nov. 1, after the film has its world premiere closing out AFI Fest. Speaking to the film’s inclusion at the 38th AFI Fest, AFI President and CEO Bob Gazzale expressed how honored he was to host the world premiere of Juror No. 2.

“There is only one Clint Eastwood — and AFI is proud to present the World Premiere of this next chapter in his historic canon,” Gazzale said. “We are honored to bring the community together once again – artists and audiences – to celebrate an American icon.”There is no word yet on if Juror No. 2 will receive a wide release. The upcoming legal drama centers around a juror in a murder trial who realizes he may have caused the victim’s death and must wrestle with the dilemma of whether to manipulate the jury to save himself or reveal the truth and turn himself in.

Juror No. 2 is produced by Eastwood, Matt Skiena, Peter Oberth, Jessica Meier, Tim Moore, and Adam Goodman. Jonathan Abrams, producer of 2013’s Escape Plan, penned the script. To be in the final film of Eastwood’s legendary career is no doubt a great honor, and thankfully, Juror No. 2 is stocked with tons of talent. Eastwood’s final film stars Nicholas Hoult, Toni Collete, J.K. Simmons, Kiefer Sutherland, Zoey Deutch, Gabriel Basso, Chris Messina, and his daughter Francesca Eastwood.

Clint Eastwood Winds Down a Legendary Career

Whether it was in front of the camera or behind it, Eastwood has been at the center of many memorable and iconic films. Rising to prominence with the Man with No Name trilogy directed by the legendary Sergio Leone, Eastwood would carve out an incredible legacy for himself in the western genre, as well as action films. Eastwood’s 1971 film Dirty Harry remains as one of Eastwood’s most beloved performances, as is his western classic Unforgiven, which he also directed.

In recent years, Eastwood has stayed busy still churning out great films such as American Sniper, The Mule, and Richard Jewell. American Sniper, the controversial war film starring Bradley Cooper, serves as the director’s most recent film to receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. What will be Eastwood’s penultimate movie, Cry Macho, saw the legendary actor return to his western roots in what will be remembered as the last acting performance of his legendary career.
