Clint Eastwood one of the most acclaimed actors and directors in Hollywood has always been in the news for his outstanding films. One such movie of Eastwood was none other than his $547 million war flick American Sniper. While the movie received a lot of praise, one peculiar element that was etched in the minds of the viewers was the use of a fake baby in one of the scenes. However, years after the release of the movie the creators of the film have opened up about the use of a fake baby.

Under the direction of Clint Eastwood, the movie American Sniper turned out to be a big hit earning around $547 million worldwide. Even though the movie was appreciated by all, in one particular scene the creators of the movie used a doll as a baby which got etched into the minds of viewers. Ever since then question has been around as to why in such a big movie the creators decided to use a fake baby.

Although years after the release of the movie, the creators have opened up about the scene. As reported by The Digital Fix, the screenwriter of the movie Jason Hall has reported that the fake doll was never the first choice of the creators. As reported by The Digital Fix talking about this Hall said “Hate to ruin the fun but real baby number one showed up with a fever. Real baby number two was a no-show.” He then went on to claim that Eastwood followed this up on set by saying, “Gimme the doll, kid,” which in itself is kind of iconic.

Reportedly it was because of this one scene that American Sniper was removed from the race of being one of the best war movies of the year.

After working in the industry for more than six decades the legendary actor-director Clint Eastwood is all set to retire after filming his final movie with Warner Bros. Eastwood has nearly 50 films to his name among which there are Oscar-nominated pictures like Invictus, American Sniper, Sully and Richard Jewell.

However, now reports have been around that Eastwood is all set to take an exit from the industry after Juror 2. While there is no information on the movie yet.
