Cole Hauser Reflects On “Magical” Experience With ‘Yellowstone’ Costar

Cole Hauser is making the most of his time off-set! As much as we’d love to know more about what’s in store for his Rip and Beth Yellowstone spin-off with Kelly Reilly, for now, we’re just happy to see him happy continuing to explore the great outdoors—this time, in Africa!

On Sunday, April 6, the 50-year-old actor revealed that he had been taking in the sights and sounds of Southern Africa. “So long Botswana! What a magical place and people,” he captioned a video on Instagram of himself in a helicopter, in which he was representing his coffee brand, Free Rein Coffee Company.

While it’s not entirely clear why he was in Africa—for leisure or to promote his coffee company and its ever-evolving giveback initiatives—or, for that matter, for how long, we do know that he was not alone, at least for part of his trip. After some sleuthing, we found that Cole and Yellowstone co-star Denim Richards (Colby Mayfield) visited Lourensford Estate in South Africa together in March (so it’s possible Cole was engaging in a “latergram”).

Regardless of why Cole traveled to Africa, his fans were thrilled to see him out exploring.

“Hi from Montana!!!!👋🏼 Can’t wait to see your new show,” one fan commented on his post. “Better than Montana,” someone else asked. “So dope,” another fan commented on the Lourensford Instagram post.

Since we know that Colby died in Yellowstone, we know this isn’t part of the spin-off but still, it begs the question: Why were two Yellowstone stars venturing through Africa together? We hope to learn more soon.
