There’s a new GH doctor in the making.
As Gregory’s condition worsens while Chase and Brook Lynn’s wedding nears, the April 24, 2024 episode of General Hospital may have given viewers a glimpse at a future GH doctor
Gregory’s Setback
It was during Chase’s (Josh Swickard) bachelor party that Gregory (Gregory Harrison) stayed with his granddaughter Violet (Jophielle Love). But when Gregory had an ALS-related episode (speaking of ALS, catch GH’s Nancy Lee Grahn at her real-life ALS event!) where he began losing his breath, a worried Violet jumped into action.
Gregory told her where to find his ventilator, and she got it for her grandfather right before Finn (Michael Easton) and Chase got home. She immediately ran into her father’s arms, calling for help, and that was when they saw their father on the couch wearing the oxygen mask. After calling an ambulance, they assured Violet this happens sometimes with ALS, and she eventually went to sleep.

Violet’s mature handle on the situation for her age only further begs the question of whether she will one day join GH as a doctor or nurse. After all, she’s growing up with her doctor dad, as well as Aunt Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), who now holds the title of Head Nurse, so it’s possible she will follow in their footsteps.
This wouldn’t be the first time watching a loved one’s health ailment sent someone to medical school. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) is currently studying to become a doctor after watching her boyfriend Oscar (ex-Garren Stitt) die from cancer, plus her quick thinking recently when it came to helping save Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) life and treating Adam’s (ex-Joshua Benard) panic attacks.
