The mystery man called Schwartz out during this throwback WWHL moment: “He doesn’t even defend her!”
Was this Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen caller the Allison DuBois of Vanderpump Rules?
Back in 2016, then-engaged pair Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz paid a visit to Andy Cohen in the WWHL Clubhouse together, and a caller made a surprisingly accurate prediction about some of the issues the two would face in their relationship before calling it quits in 2022.
“He doesn’t even defend her…” the mystery person on the other end of the line said about Schwartz’s relationship with Katie, before referencing Schwartz’s past indiscretion.
“He hooked up with a girl and only told her when he got the text message? He poured a drink over her head on vacation, gives you a ring on a string, makes the worst business decision in history?” the caller continued, which you can check out by watching the video at the top of this post. “And, worst of all, he got a perm! So, he doesn’t love you, he’s in love with himself and Jax [Taylor]!”
What was Tom Schwartz’s reaction? He was upset by one comment in particular. “I can let everything slide, but the perm?” Schwartz responded. “You don’t talk about the perm.”
When Andy asked if Schwartz had anything he wanted to address regarding the caller’s comments, the Schwartz & Sandy’s co-owner noted that it was all “in the past.”
“I mean, he’s kind of dwelling in the past. We’ve come a long way since then, and she’s, without a doubt, unequivocally, the love of my life, and I’m happier than I’ve ever been. And she’s happier than [she’s ever been],” Schwartz said. “We’re so happy, and it’s just easy.”
Andy then wondered if Katie had “fully moved on” from her ex’s past make out with another woman. “Absolutely, I’m an adult,” Katie responded.

However, as fans saw on subsequent seasons of Vanderpump Rules, Katie did not fully get over Schwartz’s infidelity. She also struggled when he didn’t defend her during their marriage. After tying the knot in 2016 (and then legally in 2019), Schwartz and Katie announced their split in March of 2022.
“Tom and I are ending our marriage,” Katie wrote in a statement she shared on her Instagram feed on March 15, 2022. “This ending is not met with resentment or animosity, no sides to choose. We have deep admiration for one another that will always remain, and we cherish our friendship.”
The two have gone on to date other people. Schwartz is currently in a relationship with Sophia Skoro, who is 24, while Katie has been casually dating.
