Sylvester Stallone is one of the richest stars on the planet as well as one of the most famous ones. Adding to his fame is his Paramount+ reality TV show called The Family Stallone. Focused on the life of the Stallone family, including the Rocky star’s three daughters, the show has given some in-depth insight into their life.
While Stallone wants the show to be a reason for his family to spend more time together, he also wants the world to show that his family is just like any other family in the world. And he might even have to deal with the curse of ungrateful children despite being rich and famous.
Sylvester Stallone is Just a Normal Guy with Normal Problems
Sylvester Stallone is incredibly rich thanks to his amazing career spanning decades. Now worth over $400 million (via Celebrity Net Worth), the actor behind the life of glamour, fame, and luxuries is just another normal guy with normal problems. Or at least that is what he wants to convey with The Family Stallone.
The famous reality TV show, whose second season is now airing on Paramount+, shows the life of Stallone, his wife Jennifer Flavin, and their three daughters Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet. While talking to Newsweek regarding their reality TV show, the family and the actor revealed that they really are just like other regular people.
“We may have the trappings of wealth, but the emotional aspect is like, ‘sharper than a Serpent’s tooth is an ungrateful child’.”
Stated the Rambo star while quoting the great playwright, William Shakespeare’s King Lear. The line refers to King Lear expressing his daughter’s ungratefulness. The actor wanted to imply that even though they may have great luxury and enough money to last a lifetime, the issues and problems they face are similar to what regular people face every day.
Stallone later added that no matter where a person is in life, financially socially, and emotionally, the realities of life catch up with everybody.
Sylvester Stallone Gave His Daughters a Hard Time Growing Up
One would imagine being Sylvester Stallone’s daughters would be living in a lap of luxury 24/7. Yet that is far from the truth as his daughters revealed to the New York Post before the release of The Family Stallone season 2.
“It was a rigorous routine. Every day at 6 a.m., he would make us eat eggs with ketchup. For some reason, that combination … to bulk up. But then it was a lot of sit ups, push ups, pull ups, clean and jerks.”
Stated Sophia, as Sistine revealed how nervous their dad is all the time.
“He’s like a classic, overprotective dad.”
And while on the Sibling Revelry podcast, the sisters made similar claims when they revealed how it was a normal 10 pm curfew for all of them. They weren’t even allowed to date or drive until they turned 18.
Sylvester Stallone’s success and wealth may have made him a Hollywood icon, but seeing his family’s life and his strict parenting style shows how ‘normal’ the family is.
The Family Show is streaming on Paramount+.
