Veteran actor Tom Cruise is allegedly afraid of undergoing plastic surgery, because he allegedly has droopy eyes as per this recent report!
Tom Cruise has done some crazy and daring things over the years. From jumping off a motorcycle in a valley to hanging off a plane, he has done it all and is considered to be fearless by millions of people.
However, an unnerving report claims that there might be one thing that Cruise is allegedly quite afraid of. That being going under the knife, and Cruise fears how it will affect his looks.
Tom Cruise is Allegedly Afraid of This One Thing
Cruise is 62 years of age. Despite the actor not looking old at all, the body starts to change as people get older. Some of the visible changes are wrinkles around the eyes, and allegedly, Cruise might be having a similar problem.
A report by In Touch states that Cruise is allegedly suffering from droopy eyes. Although these droopy eyes are natural (if any), Cruise is allegedly considering undergoing surgery.
The report states that Cruise is afraid of undergoing non-invasive surgery because he does not want to look “like a caricature of himself”.
He hates the idea of going under the knife because he’s terrified that it could leave him looking like a caricature of himself, he’s seen so much bad plastic surgery in his time.
The source further continued,
Don’t forget he had that chipmunk cheek nightmare when he got talked into getting filler in his face and it took months to go down, he was humiliated. But he’s tried every possible non-invasive procedure to get rid of his under-eye bags and nothing has really helped.
Well, it seems that Tom Cruise is allegedly not all fearless, since this is something that anyone would be terrified of. Considering the stardom that Tom Cruise is at right now, a humiliating surgery is the last thing he wants for himself.
The actor could potentially embrace his old age look and the world would be quite happy with it. Fans still remember when the actor starred alongside Nicole Kidman in the 1999 film Eyes Wide Shut and how he looked at that time.
Tom Cruise Defended Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut
It was the year 1999 when Cruise worked alongside legendary director Stanley Kubrick on the film Eyes Wide Shut. The film had a very intriguing storyline, but because people didn’t quite grasp the film’s prowess, it was a failure.
It was a commercial success but it didn’t reach the level of critical acclaim that it should have. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the actor talked about how people didn’t quite understand what the film actually wanted to say.
And there were rumors out there about how Stanley was going to make a p*rnographic picture. But that wasn’t the movie he was making. You can see that they didn’t quite grasp what the movie was, even when they saw it because they carried the baggage in.
On the commercial side of things, Eyes Wide Shut earned a total of $162 million (via Box Office Mojo) at the global box office. Although it was considered a commercial success, the film faced a lot of negative reception and backlash.
The 1999 film has a rating of 7.5/10 on IMDB and an average of 76% on Rotten Tomatoes. The iconic film is available to stream on Paramount+ in the U.S.
