Another farmer is set to quit Farmer Wants a Wife Australia 2024 partway through filming, and at this rate, there won’t be any farmers left by the end!
ICYMI: Farmer Dean, who’s since been replaced by Farmer Todd, quit the show a week and a half into filming after finding love with Teegan.
So Dramatic! can reveal he’s not the only farmer who leaves the show because Farmer Bert is also set to exit the series early.
“Bert quit the show midway through filming and sent all his ladies home without choosing anyone,” one source told So Dramatic!. “He was done because he was sick of all the drama, and it was too much for him.”
Why did Farmer Bert leave Farmer Wants A Wife 2024?
The insider explained that the pressure from the producers became too intense for the pineapple farmer.
“He left because of the producers. They were too full on and, at times, completely f*cked,” they added. “Producers were up to their usual tricks, manipulating farmers and eliminating girls, even if the farmer didn’t want them gone.
“It was an absolute sh*t show.”
The source said the producers would also “create drama out of nothing” and use people’s emotions to their advantage. And it’s no wonder the show’s recently been compared to Married at First Sight!
Farmer Wants a Wife’s Bert tried to leave TWICE during the season
According to our insider, it wasn’t the first time Bert tried to leave the series earlier.
“He initially had a producer who kept making him do things he didn’t want to do and messing with his head,” they explained.
“In the end, Bert threatened to leave if the producer stayed, so the producer was moved to Todd’s farm, and they gave Bert a different producer.”
However, even with a new producer, the “manipulation” and “manufactured drama” was too intense for Bert.
“He became so fed up that he left and didn’t choose anyone,” the source finished. And it looks like fans were on the money with their predictions!
Farmer Wants a Wife‘s Bert says he didn’t take his final choice ‘LIGHTLY’
Speaking to Refinery29 Australia, a tight-lipped Bert explained why he might’ve left the show alone without confirming or denying any rumours.
“Right time, right place, right person,” the 30-year-old said. “I don’t see the point of being in a relationship if you’re not fully committed. You’re just wasting each other’s time, and it’s not respectful. If the person’s right, I’m 100 per cent in.”
Bert also explained that he took his final choice very seriously.
“That last choice plays on your mind,” he recalled. “There’s obviously something truly wonderful that can come from it. But the flip side of that coin is you do have to let somebody down.
“Nobody takes that final choice lightly, and it is a tough few days at the end.” Interesting…
