Taking to social media to vent their anger, viewers have lashed out at Cash (played by actor Nick Cartwright) calling the character ‘creepy’.
What has fans troubled is that Cash has made contact with a new character, Michelle, who was the recipient of an organ donation from his sister Felicity (played by Jacqui Purvis).
In the story, the grief stricken Cash has welcomed Michelle into his home – which sends his ex Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) into a rage.
And as regular viewers know, Felicity was Eden’s best pal.
Meanwhile, Cash has not told Michelle anything about his history – which has viewers questioning his motives.
‘I actually think it’s sick what Cash is doing, said one one viewer on a fan site, while another added: ‘He is becoming very creepy.’
‘Starting to border on bizarre,’ said another on a Facebook fan site.
‘She was his sister not his partner,’ they continued.
‘If he’s considering a relationship with the organ recipient then that’s definitely bordering on incest.’
Fans have also criticised Cash for not coming clean about his relationship with his ex, especially since the Summer Bay newcomers witnessed Eden’s meltdown.
‘How dare he say to Eden that’s its not a good idea for her to meet that girl,’ whined on fan.
‘He had no right to reach out to [Michelle] in the first place…’
Another viewer viewer predicted that more bad news lies ahead for Cash.
‘This is going to get messy for Cash,’ said one fan on a Home and Away Facebook fan page.
‘[Donors] are anonymous for a reason – so attachment doesn’t happen.
‘He will become obsessed thinking it’s Flick (Felciity) and that’s when he will spiral even more than he already has.’
It comes after Home and Away fan favouites returned to set on Tuesday to begin filming some more episodes of the beloved Channel Seven soap.
Cast members Lynne McGranger, Shane Withington and Ada Nicodemou posed up a storm for Instagram while taking a break between scenes which they shot in a car.
Ada, 47, was all smiles in the front seat wearing a bright green shirt as Shane, 66, stuck his tongue out at the camera.
Meanwhile, Lynne, 71, leaned over from the backseat, wrapping her arm around Shane who pretended he was being choked.
‘So happy to be back with these lunatics!’ Lynne captioned the photo on her Instagram page.
Shane shared the same image to his own account along with laughing emojis as he wrote: ‘These two idiots are always a hoot.’
Meanwhile, Ada posted a video of Shane on her Instagram Stories, showing the actor garbed in a yellow shirt as they sat in the car waiting for the cameras to roll.
