Farmer Wants A Wife Fans Thrilled By Huge Announcement Ahead Of New Season

Channel 7 has shared some exciting news on social media.

As if Farmer Wants A Wife fans aren’t excited enough for the reality show to return later this month, Channel 7 has shared a huge announcement on social media regarding the new season. The network confirmed on Thursday evening that Natalie Gruzlewski will be returning as the show’s main host following Samantha Armytage’s shock departure.

“Look who it is! Natalie Gruzlewski is back as host of this year’s season of #FarmerAU,” they wrote alongside a photo of the 48-year-old posing against a barn door in a green dress.

Natalie was the original host of the reality show when it aired on Channel Nine from 2007 to 2012 and returned in 2020 when the series was rebooted on Channel Seven. Sam then joined as a special guest in 2022 but became the main host for the following two seasons while Natalie stepped into a co-host position.

Seven confirmed at their annual Upfronts event in November that Natalie Gruzlewski would present the upcoming fifteenth season, however, this is the first time it’s been announced on social media.

‘Best news ever’

Fans quickly took to the comments to celebrate the announcement, with many people describing it as the “best news ever”.

“So glad Nat’s back. She is the best,” one person wrote, while another added, “Nat is back where she belongs”.

“Thank goodness, wasn’t the same without Nat,” a third replied, followed by someone else who said, “So looking forward to this, Nat is the best!”

“Thank god for this! She is the show and should always be,” a different user remarked, with one fan agreeing, “So happy to see Nat is back. The show will be great again with her hosting”.

“She should have never been replaced in the first place,” another argued. “Nat was the OG and cannot be replaced by anyone else. Her shoes are too big to fill.”

Farmer Wants A Wife ‘winner’ praises Sam

Sophie Trethowan, who found love on the show last season with Dustin Manwaring, tells Yahoo Lifestyle she’s excited for Natalie’s return, but it’s bittersweet that Sam will no longer be a part of the series.

“I was sad when Sam left because I’ve always been a fan of Sam Armytage and I think she does a really great job on Farmer Wants A Wife, even though she did cop a lot of slack when she first started,” she shares.

“But Nat is great too, and I was lucky enough to get to meet and have both of them while filming Farmer. They’re both great hosts, and I think a lot of people would be excited to have Nat back. But yeah, I think Sam was great too.”

What is Sam Armytage doing now?

Sam Armytage announced in August that she would be leaving Channel Seven after 21 years with the network, including eight years hosting Sunrise.

It’s since been revealed that she will be the host of Channel Nine’s new reality TV show, The Golden Bachelor, which is currently filming and expected to air later this year.

“My new show is The Golden Bachelor coming in 2025 and I’m so excited to continue to play a TV Cupid, but this time for a more… ummm… mature crowd,” she wrote on Instagram. “It’s THE biggest show in America and I know it’s going to be huge here… Can’t wait to start filming.”

When does Farmer Wants A Wife 2025 premiere?

The new season of Farmer Wants A Wife starts Monday, April 21 on Channel 7 and 7plus. The reality show will follow four farmers on their journey to find love: Farmer Corey, 24, Farmer Jarrad, 21, Farmer Thomas, 35, and Farmer Tom, 31.
