General Hospital Recap Highlights

Also in this episode, Sonny learned the truth about his wife, Nina soaked up a few moments alone with Willow, Scout’s nightmare put things into perspective for Sam, and Olivia had it out with her best friend. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

A Daughter’s Heartbreak

Carly (Laura Wright) was thrilled to have her boyfriend home…and in her bed. Eventually, the lovebirds came up for air and some champagne. Carly wondered how she got so lucky to have Drew (Cameron Mathison) home. She didn’t love his answer, though.

As it turned out, Drew was home because he was growing impatient with the board and decided to check out and let someone handle it before he blew the deal. Carly commented it didn’t sound much like him. And, she was right. But, that wasn’t all.

Drew relayed how sick he was of being the nice guy, and especially, how tired he was of playing nice at the office with Ned (Wally Kurth). Carly didn’t love this new attitude and tried to gently guide him back to being the sweetheart she loved.

Drew went to go deal with himself and Carly was left on her own in the kitchen. It was then her phone rang with an unknown caller on the screen. Drew returned to find Carly clearly rocked. She told him it was the embassy — her mother was dead.

The Awful Truth

Meanwhile, Nina (Cynthia Watros) was in her office debating with herself. Finally, she decided to do the right thing and tell the truth. She set out to do just that…but was thwarted by a visit from Willow (Katelyn MacMullen).

Willow had torn her party dress and needed a new one. Nina took great pleasure in playing hero and saving the day. She then talked about all the special moments they missed out on. Willow was just happy they were together now.

Over at the docks, the fireworks wowed the crowd, but they were nothing compared to the fireworks to come. It took all of two minutes for Olivia (Lisa LoCicero), Ned, and Michael (Chad Duell) to realize Lois (Rena Sofer) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) weren’t there. They made a beeline for the Savoy.

They walked in and Lois forced their hand and made them confess. Olivia and Ned went first and admitted they knew but for a hot minute, Michael stayed silent. Until Sonny demanded he speak. Lois, Olivia, and Ned took their leave and left Sonny alone with his son.

Michael confessed that he’s known the truth since Sonny and Nina’s wedding day. He tried to reason that he kept it to himself for Sonny’s own good. However, Sonny didn’t buy it. He demanded a name. And, boy, did he get one!

Michael named Nina as the culprit…at the exact moment, Willow and Nina showed up at the club.

Bad Blood

At the same time, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) attempted a romantic evening in. No sooner had they laughed about his dad jumping from a plane and making sweet toasts to each other than Chase got a call and had to head to work.

BLQ hardly had time to adjust to being alone then the trio came home and even more fireworks went off. Olivia dragged Lois into the living room and tore into her. How dare she?! Lois tried to reason away her actions but she threw the past in Olivia’s face and their friendship went bust!

All the while, Sam (temporarily played by Lindsay Hartley) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) had their romantic evening interrupted by Scout. The kiddo had a bad dream about her new school and all but begged her mom to not make her go.

To her credit, Sam was on board with whatever Scout wanted. She promised to keep her in her regular school with all her friends. However, once Scout was back in bed, Sam wondered if she had done the wrong thing. What will Drew think?
