Spoilers for General Hospital hint that Jeff Kober’s character Cyrus Renault has persuaded most of Port Charles that he’s simply a harmless elderly man.
Even if he suffered a crippling heart attack a few months ago, it doesn’t make up for all the horrible things he did previously. Cyrus was incarcerated at the time for a purpose. He was involved in multiple violent crimes.
The only reasons he was released were because of his fragile state and his claim to have discovered God. Still, he is the same guy who gave the order for the explosion that rendered Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) unconscious.
Sonny Corinthos Beat Cyrus Renault!
A few months ago, Cyrus goaded Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) to the point where Sonny beat him to within an inch of his life.
Sonny then ordered Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to finish Cyrus off In his hospital room. Sonny changed his mind at the last instant, but if he hadn’t, then Dex would have done what Sonny asked.
Later, Dex was exiled by Sonny but he eventually came back to town. Wanting to make amends, he confessed what he did to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
Anna decided that Dex had already suffered enough, so she encouraged him to join the police force instead.
Cyrus Renault Knows What Dex Heller Did!
Cyrus knows wh at Dex almost did under Sonny’s orders. During a recent confrontation at the police station, Dex and Cyrus seemingly cleared the air. But what if it was all an act? What if Cyrus has come up with a plan to get back at both of them.
Even though he says he found God, that might just be a cover to keep people from getting suspicious of him. Perhaps he’s already in the process of rebuilding his criminal empire right under everyone’s nose.
Two birds, One Stone!
One may easily envision a situation in which Cyrus attempts to kill Dex himself or gives the command to someone else to do so. He could then accuse Sonny of the crime because Dex is already seen by Sonny as a traitor.
As viewers are aware, Sonny is become more unpredictable and suspicious due to tampering with his bipolar medication.
The public’s perception of Sonny has already started to deteriorate, and in the event that Dex is hurt, he may very well be the main suspect. Perhaps Cyrus had a plan!
