Will Sam’s plans ultimately help her ex squirm out from under the Feds?

General Hospital spoilers for the Tuesday, May 28 episode focus on revealing strategic plans, exchanging highly sensitive information, and obtaining necessary answers.

Operation #FreeJason

Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco — who recently celebrated a birthday) leads the Operation #FreeJason brigade, a group that pretty much consists of the entirety of Port Charles. However, she’s counting on Spinelli to use his tech genius skills. Consider Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) a side member until further notice. After all, he is a detective, and he has to focus on Sonny (Maurice Benard). Nevertheless, at Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) and Chase’s (Josh Swickard) wedding, Sam decided to make it her mission to help Jason (Steve Burton) with the FBI.

Jason’s made no secret of wanting nothing to do with them or Agent Cates (Adam J. Harrington). And now that she’s not blaming him for all of the world’s woes, Sam’s acting as an ally instead. Now, she is ready to detail her plan to help her ex. Will her strategy be foolproof or flawed?

The Port Charles Exchange

Speaking of Stone Cold, Jason has his own work to do. These days, he’s often seen commiserating with Anna (Finola Hughes). Unlike Sonny, she thinks he’s a stand-up guy. Maybe even worthy of a team-up. What kind of information will they reveal that will help each other? This exchange of information better be worth it.

Meanwhile, Carly (Laura Wright) pays a visit to her favorite wounded yet handsome ex-WSB agent. Yes, she visits Brennan (Charles Mesure), who’s recovering from a self-inflicted prison stabbing. Whatever — it got him out of jail for the moment. And now he’s able to see Carly again. Will the co-owner of the Metro Court Hotel, once again, give away too much info to the guy who used to be the boss of Pikeman (and still sorta is)?

Results-Oriented Behavior

Look for Maxie to encourage Spinelli. Why does Spinelli need the encouragement, you ask? So he can be his best self with Sam as they help Jason out with the Feebies? Or so he can show Maxie that he’s upped his romance game? How about becoming an even better parent? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Finally, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) gets some answers. Um….is one of those answers whether she will be a lawyer again? It better be because she’s fought diligently for the right to represent clients, knock closing arguments out of the park, negotiate settlements, and ensure justice is served.
