What’s going on with Elizabeth and Finn?

On the next General Hospital, spoilers for Thursday, May 23, 2024, focus on characters in a dark, potentially unreachable place. Others decide to fight for their right to live the life they want to live. And is there trouble ahead for one couple?

Coming up in Port Charles

Finn (Michael Easton) is understandably in a dark place. During yesterday’s episode, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) walked in on him after he broke the news of Gregory’s (Gregory Harrison) death to Violet (Jophielle Love). But she also spotted that he had been drinking. As a result, Finn lashed out when she rightly wanted to take Violet to a safe space. Does he continue to take his pain and anguish out on his significant other?

After this unfortunate interaction, who does Elizabeth turn to? Sounds like she tells whoever she’s on the phone with that she’s “not who they need right now.” And just like that, there’s trouble with Finn and Elizabeth.

Things are already getting a little heated at Alexis’s reinstatement hearing. Neil’s brother, Fergus (Lane Davies), vehemently opposes Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) getting her law license back. Will he explain his reasons why today?

Meanwhile, Kristina (Kate Mansi) continues to analyze her behavior in her relationship with her dad. Does she come to any conclusions? And what can Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) do for her girlfriend while she’s feeling like this?

Speaking of Kristina, she told Dex (Evan Hofer) that she can’t stop him from pressing charges against Sonny (Maurice Benard — who addressed his breakdown story on social media) and that she should never have sent Michael (Chad Duell) to try to talk him out of it. She also told him that she’d testify for him if he decided to go that route. How he’s talking to Anna (Finola Hughes) makes it seem like he’s still trying to figure out what to do.

Carly (Laura Wright) asks Sonny a fair question. “What are you going to do when you run out of traitors?” Well, that time is now, Carly. That time is now.
