On-screen, General Hospital’s Maxie is finally in a relationship with Spinelli. Off-screen, her portrayer, Kirsten Storms has it a bit easier and is celebrating a major milestone.

Happy Birthday, Kirsten Storms!

That’s because she was born on April 8, 1984, in Orlando, Florida, which means that this talented actress is turning 40 years old today! As a child, upon visiting her sportscaster father at the studio, Storms convinced him and her mother to enroll her in acting class.

This resulted in the budding thespian being seen by a talent scout who suggested that she enroll in an intensive children’s acting camp in the New York Catskills.

Her first professional credit was a commercial for the Galoob Baby Doll. More commercials followed, and in 1996, she appeared in two episodes of the family drama Second Noah.

Subsequent work included guest roles on You Wish and Any Day Now as well as a three-episode stint on 7th Heaven and a role in Crayola Kids Adventures: The Trojan Horse — a direct-to-video offering.

In 1999, Storms was selected to star in the Disney Channel original movie Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century whose premiere had the largest rating of any program on the channel up to that point. She later reprised the part in two further films.

In August of that same year, Storms joined the cast of NBC’s Days of our Lives in the role of Isabella “Belle” Black, the rapidly-aged daughter of supercouple John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).

She remained in the part until July of 2004, at which point she exited and joined the inaugural cast of the short-lived CBS drama Clubhouse. The following summer saw Storms accept an offer to take over the role of General Hospital‘s Mariah Maximilliana “Maxie” Jones. It has been a position she has held ever since.

Storms’s other credits include the web series Winterthorne and the television film Johnny Tsunami. She is also well known for voicing Bonnie Rockwaller in Disney Channel animated series Kim Possible.
