General Hospital spoilers reveal that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is the new head of Pikeman, and he’s not messing around. He aims to get Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to cooperate and do business with Pikeman.
Carly Will Come through For Sonny
If not, the mafia boss will have to be eliminated. Valentin’s plan includes getting Sonny off his bipolar medicine. It’s a cruel and sinister plot, but then again, papa Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) would be proud.
He’s already bribed someone to switch Sonny’s meds with placebo pills. Sonny is already on edge. He’s written off Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), the two people, besides Sonny’s kids, who care about him the most.
With Sonny in a mentally volatile place, Valentin’s plan will be a piece of cake. However, that’s only how it will start. It will end with someone coming through for Sonny in a big way: Carly.
If anyone understands the dark place Sonny goes to when he’s off his meds, it’s Carly. Sonny will start to act differently, and she will question whether he’s taking his medicine.
He may even hook up with an opportunistic Ava Jerome (Maura West), as he’s already kissed her. Sonny could start to behave erratically, triggering a breakdown of reality.
Sonny and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) are also at odds, as Sonny doesn’t even trust his son. The plot is reminiscent of when Ava switched Morgan Corinthos‘s (Bryan Craig) medicine with placebo pills.
Morgan went off the deep end and drove off in Julian Jerome‘s (William DeVry) car. He was blown up because Julian’s sister planted a bomb in his car, attempting to kill Julian.

The main difference between the two scenarios is that Ava didn’t intend to kill Morgan, but Valentin has made it perfectly clear that he will kill to get what he wants.
The ends justify the means. The actual clues will come to Carly’s attention. She will see that Sonny is making irrational choices, and his mood swings will be turbulent and unpredictable.
Sonny will vow to her that he is taking his lithium faithfully when she confronts him to find out whether he is.
Carly, though, will smell foul play, and she’ll be right. When the former Mrs. Corinthos recalls what Ava did, she will initially believe that Ava is to blame.
She’ll figure up a means to remove a pill from Sonny’s medication bottle so that it may be examined. Carly will pursue Ava once the results are back and she discovers the pills are phony.
However, further research points straight to Valentin. As she has so often in the past, Carly will support Sonny and see him through the hard times.

Sonny and Carly share a special connection; she will know how to help him see the light. He will finally know whom he can trust.
As Sonny gets help and gets himself back in order, he will realize that he is still in love with Carly. It may be the fifth time down the aisle for CarSon, but it’s for keeps this time.
