Baby Ace knows how to deliver on GH.
Nikolas Cassadine commented on how big his son Ace was on General Hospital. Indeed. The twins who play Nik’s son, Joey and Jay Clay, just celebrated a big milestone related to their time in Port Charles.
Joey and Jay Clay: Happy Birthday, Ace
Joey and Jay Clay began playing Ace, the uniquely named son of Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), a year ago. Their mom, Lana, took to social media to celebrate the big day. “Celebrating our FIRST anniversary on General Hospital!” Lana Clay wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Grateful for this opportunity and the amazing support from fellow actors and actresses. Fun fact: The boys joined the show at just six months old.”
Safety Matters
Lana makes sure her boys’ GH experience will be immortalized. She keeps the twins’ followers updated on what goes on at the show with (non-spoiler) posts. “General Hospital’s wardrobe team does an amazing job dressing our sons!” Lana shared in a tweet. “Their outfits are always adorable, meticulously matching, and we love the creative direction they bring to each scene. When we arrive, we check in with security, head to our dressing room for privacy, relax, and then dress the boys for their scenes.”
Lana is confident that her boys are in safe hands when they perform as baby Ace. “Did you know General Hospital prioritizes child safety?” Ace’s real-life mom posted. “Joey and Jay hold permits to work, and Mark and I are present for every episode. The industry standards and California law ensure a studio teacher/welfare worker is always there to oversee the well-being of our sons.”
Fathers and Sons
Recently, Joey played scenes with Huss and Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Spencer) in which Nikolas finally met his son. As if on cue, Ace melted into his dad’s arms, laying his little head on Nikolas’s chest. We’d say Joey “aced” his scenes but….his mom beat us to that clever pun! “Overwhelmed by the kind comments from today’s episode! Joey & Jay, at just 17 months, have already ACED so many incredible scenes,” Lana wrote on X. “Here’s to many more to come!” Soap Hub congratulates Joey and Jay Clay on their first anniversary on GH!
