Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood is currently using Pooler as the backdrop of his new movie.

WJCL reported back in July that Eastwood, 93, was set to film ‘Juror #2’ at city hall and the municipal courthouse. But just days later, the SAG AFTRA strike shut down the filming.

With the strike over, production is back up and running. Lights and cameras were on display Tuesday at city hall.

Officials with the Pooler Chamber of Commerce confirmed the movie being shot was ‘Juror #2’ and that the chamber building will also be used for filming.

Earlier this summer, scenes were shot in multiple downtown Savannah locations, including at a restaurant.

According to the film’s synopsis on IMDB, ‘Juror #2’ “takes place during a murder trial, when one of the jurors seeks to protect the defendant without putting himself in jeopardy as he progressively realizes he killed the victim in a careless driving accident.”

Eastwood helped put Savannah on the movie making map with ‘Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil’ back in 1997.
