Home And Away Spoiler: Bronte Is Questioned By Rose

Alf advises Xander to seek answers from Bronte as to Dana’s whereabouts, while Irene and Leah offer a last-ditch plan to pay for her treatment – they’ll donate all the proceeds from the Diner to help her reach her crowdfunding goal.

Bree finds it odd that Dana never mentioned any retreat, and John is concerned when she misses the start of her patrol. As Xander begins to twig that he’s being lied to, Dana is far away, trapped alone in a locked shipping container out in the bush as she screams for somebody to help her.

Those screams are only heard by Chase though, who shows no signs of sympathy to his prisoner as he waits for Bronte to come through with Irene’s money.

At the Diner, Bronte learns that the transfer has come through – she now has $50,000 in the bank. But when Irene and Leah show her how much they could raise for her in a week, she’s sorely tempted to stay and grab the cash.

At Salt, Bree overhears John and Xander talking, and admits to them that she searched for Bronte’s non-existent medical records. As the pieces of the puzzle fall into place, the three go to Rose with everything they know, and she decides it’s worth asking a few questions of Bronte.

At Irene’s, Bronte lies again about when she last spoke to Dana and where she’s seeking treatment, and Rose confronts her with the news that her records don’t exist. Just as they’re getting close though, Bronte fakes a dizzy spell, and Rose decides to leave her while she investigates the latest lie that Bronte has told.

When Xander and John see the crook driving Irene’s car, though, they see little option and decide to follow, eventually tracking her to a quarry in the middle of nowhere. As they follow the dirt road, Dana finally outsmarts Chase and escapes her shipping container prison. With her captor in hot pursuit, will she make it to help before he catches her?
