As the Festival of Felicity starts to fill up, everyone shares in the happy memories. Tane arrives, but the sight of Felicity’s smile in the photograph is too much for him, and he turns to leave. Harper goes to check on him, and while she tries to offer comforting words, they’re interrupted by Carl and Perri mid-argument.

Tane steps right into action, barking at Carl to leave. Just as a fight is about to break out, Rose steps in and pulls the men apart. Harper snaps at Tane, telling him he has too much to lose. In his heightened state, he yells back at her and demands to know what else he has to lose. The truth finally comes out as Harper declares that she’s pregnant, and Tane is going to be a dad.

Surrounded by people that support him, Perri tells his dad to leave and decides to make a complaint against Carl for assault. Perri heads down to the police station with Rose to make the complaint official, leaving Tane and Harper to face their new reality.

Tane is hurt to find out that Harper has been hiding her pregnancy from him for two months. Harper confesses that this wasn’t the right way to tell him and that she really wanted it to be a happy moment for him. Tane stumbles back into the Festival of Felicity, in search of a strong drink. Later, completely drunk, he shows up to see Harper and announces that he’s got questions.
