Home and Away will air an exit in the UK next week, as Mali Hudson’s reunion with his brother Iluka continues to go awry.
Ever since Mali’s older brother Iluka made an unexpected arrival in Summer Bay last month, he’s caused nothing but trouble for Mali, with his dangerous dalliance with criminal family the Allens resulting in Levi Fowler being brutally stabbed.
In the new scenes, Levi is recovering in hospital following his attack and is keen to return home with girlfriend Mackenzie Booth.
When Levi finds out that Iluka is also now in hospital after he was kidnapped and violently beaten, he worries that he has somehow made things even worse for Mali. Mac, however, isn’t in the mood to forgive her housemate for bringing trouble to their door.
Rose Delaney later reveals to Bree Cameron that the Allens have been charged with attempted murder and false imprisonment. She adds that she was shocked to see Mali teaming up with River Boys Rory Templeton and Dingo Lewis to violently fight with the Allens, as she has never seen this side of her boyfriend before.
Meanwhile, Mali and Iluka are upset with their sister Elandra for reporting their revenge plan to the police, pointing out that the Hudsons don’t call the cops on each other.
But Elandra is firm that she did the right thing, telling Mali that he could have died if she hadn’t got involved.
When Mali and Elandra arrive at the hospital the next day, Bree reveals that Iluka left the building in the middle of the night. When Rose offers to help Mali look for him, he shuns his girlfriend, leading Rose to end their relationship.
When Mali discovers his brother sleeping in the dunes, he demands to know why Iluka ran away. In an attempt to keep him safe, Mali offers Iluka a job at the board shop and a home. But Elandra isn’t impressed, arguing that Iluka shouldn’t be relying on his little brother to sort his life out.
Taking in the message, Iluka decides to take responsibility for his mistakes and he heads to apologise to Levi. While Levi accepts his apology, Mackenzie isn’t so impressed and she orders Iluka out of her house.
Iluka later tells his siblings about what happened with Mac, leaving Mali annoyed as he announces that if his brother can’t stay, then neither will he. When Levi tries to talk Mac round, she won’t back down, pointing out that she didn’t actually kick Mali out.
Mali faces further heartache when Iluka reveals that he’s decided to head home with Elandra, admitting that it was never his dream for them to work together in the board shop.
Mac and Mali later catch up on the beach, where Mac apologises for not being more understanding and Mali says sorry for not being honest with her. Mac reiterates that her home is Mali’s home.
Iluka is soon making his exit from Summer Bay – will he ever return?
