How General Hospital Alum Anthony Geary Celebrated Valentine’s Week With His Husband

Love was in the air all week!

Since retiring from General Hospital, Anthony Geary has led a quiet life in Amsterdam with his husband, Claudio Gama. Now, the pair have taken to Instagram to share with fans how they spent Valentine’s Week.

A Time to Celebrate

Like a true blue soap couple, for Geary (ex-Luke) and Gama, the week of Valentine’s Day doubles as the week of their wedding anniversary. The two married six years ago in February, and also met 30 years ago on an unknown date in February. Earlier in the week, Gama got candid on Instagram about his and Geary’s big week.

“This week is our anniversary week. Tony and I met 30 years ago in February and got married 6 years ago also in February,” he shared. “Two anniversary’s [sic] to celebrate. I have to find a good gift and make some special food maybe bake another cake.”

On Wednesday, Gama shared photos from his and Geary’s anniversary party that captured love, celebration, and a rare glimpse of Geary since his retirement. The actor hasn’t been seen on GH since he made a cameo for Jane Elliot’s (Tracy) goodbye, and before that, his own Port Charles send-off in 2015.

“Our anniversary is in full party mode,” Gama wrote in the caption. “Thank you all for all the lovely wishes from Tony, Max, and me.”

To top off Valentine’s Day, Gama brought followers on a trip down memory lane when he shared a clip of Geary accepting an Emmy Award in 2012, during which he gave a special shout-out to his love.

While thanking what Geary referred to as “the finest acting team and acting family a guy could ever ask for,” after praising his co-stars Jonathan Jackson (Lucky), Julie Berman (ex-Lulu), Nathan Parsons (ex-Ethan), and Elliot, the actor went on to speak in another language for only Gama to understand.

“My sweet valentine sending me a message from afar many years ago,” Gama wrote. “So sweet. Beijinhos meu amor. Happy weekend all from Amsterdam, let love flourish on your Valentine’s Day.”
