The latest episode of Yellowstone, “Three Fifty-Three” premieres on Nov. 24 on the Paramount Network. The hit show has been a ratings juggernaut, leading to an extended TV universe built around Taylor Sheridan’s rough-and-tumble tales of the modern West (the latest is Landman, starring Billy Bob Thornton).
At A Glance: How To Watch Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2
- Streaming: Philo, Sling, DirecTV Stream, Hulu + Live TV
- Channels: Paramount Network
- Release Date, Time: Sunday, Nov. 24 at 8 ET/7CT on Paramount Network
After a two-year hiatus, the series returned with “Desire Is All You Need” on Nov. 10, which marked the start of part two of the fifth (and possibly final) season of Yellowstone. Yet again, some fans may have been left confused on how to watch the show – despite airing on the Paramount Network, the series is not available on Paramount+.
The show’s streaming home is Peacock, but new episodes don’t hit the streamer until months later. That means if you want to watch the show when it airs without cable, your best bet will be a live-streaming service.
Unlike Yellowstone, Sheridan’s other shows, including Landman, will be available to stream on Paramount+. Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923 are available to stream on Paramount+. Other shows created or executive produced by Taylor Sheridan that are streaming on Paramount+ include Tulsa King, starring Sylvester Stallone, Mayor of Kingstown, starring Jeremy Renner, and Lawmen: Bass Reeves, starring David Oyelowo.
How To Watch Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2
Despite being a Paramount production, Yellowstone is not available to watch on Paramount+. Instead, the show airs on Paramount Network, a basic cable channel that is distinct from Paramount+.
That means the best way to watch Yellowstone when it airs is with a live-streaming service that carries Paramount Network, such as Philo, DirecTV Stream, Sling, or Hulu + Live TV. At $28/mo, Philo is one of the most affordable options and includes Paramount Network, (though you won’t find local channels).
Another affordable option is Sling, which starts at $40/mo. To watch Paramount Network, you’ll want the $6/mo Entertainment Extra package
How To Watch Yellowstone Spinoffs
Yellowstone’s runaway success has led to multiple spinoffs, including 1883 starring Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Sam Elliott, and 1923 starring Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford. Other spinoffs in the works include 6666, 1944, and The Madison.
Unlike Yellowstone, 1923 and 1883 are available to stream on Paramount+. Paramount+ is available with Showtime for $12.99/mo or as a standalone package for $7.99/mo, and a free trial is available. The best deal for Paramount+ right now is signing up through Prime, as part of Amazon Prime’s Black Friday streaming deals. You can get Paramount+ Essential or Paramount+ with Showtime for $2.99/mo for the first two months.
Where To Stream Yellowstone
Every previous season of Yellowstone is on Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service.
It may seem confusing that a show from the parent company of CBS would be available on rival NBC’s streaming service, but Peacock secured the streaming rights to Yellowstone before the creation of Paramount+. Unsurprisingly, Peacock has held on tight to Yellowstone given its success.
Every season of the show, including Season 5, Part 1 is available to stream on Peacock. However, episodes typically don’t hit the streamer until months later, and that’ll be the case with Season 5, Part 2, as well. Peacock plans start at $7.99/mo.
To promote the show, Yellowstone has also teamed up with a slew of brands on merch, including a collaboration with western boot brand Ariat, which was designed by Yellowstone’s costume designer Johnetta Boone.
