Fans have been burning up over CBS’ hit firefighter drama, Fire Country, and there’s good news — the heat won’t be going away anytime soon. In February 2025, the network renewed Fire Country for season 4. Life & Style shares everything fans need to know about the upcoming season.

When Is the Release Date for ‘Fire Country’ Season 4?

While there isn’t an exact premiere date set yet, Fire Country season 4 is slated to begin airing in the fall of 2025.

Who Is in the Cast of ‘Fire Country’ Season 4?

The official cast list for Fire Country season 4 has not yet been announced, but all of the main cast members are expected to return. This includes Max Thieriot as Bode Leone, Kevin Alejandro as Manny Perez, Jordan Calloway as Jake Crawford, Stephanie Arcila as Gabriela Perez, Jules Latimer as Eve Edwards, Diane Farr as Sharon Leone and Billy Burke as Vince Leone.

How to Watch ‘Fire Country’ Season 4

Fans will be able to tune into the new season on CBS, with new episodes streaming on Paramount+ the day after they air on the network. Season 3 episodes are currently airing on Friday nights at 9 p.m. ET, so it’s likely that the show will keep this spot in the fall of 2025.

What Is ‘Fire Country’ About?

Fire Country stars Max Thieriot as Bode Leone (formerly Bode Donovan), a young convict who has a troubled past. He hopes to redeem himself and shorten his prison sentence by volunteering for the California Conservation Camp Program, where prisoners assist the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire). Bode lands an assignment in his Northern California hometown and must work alongside former friends, fellow inmates and firefighters to put out the massive fires in the region.

When Bode was finally free from prison in season 3, he had to work through personal issues while maintaining a role as a firefighter at Station 42 in Edgewater, California.

‘Fire Country’ Is Also Getting a Spinoff

In addition to season 4, fans can look forward to a Fire Country spinoff called Sheriff Country. The series will star Morena Baccarin as Edgewater sheriff Mickey Fox, who is the stepsister of Cal Fire division chief Sharon Leone. While patrolling the streets of her town, Mickey must “contend with her ex-con father and a mysterious incident involving her wayward daughter,” according to Deadline.

The spinoff was previously introduced to fans in an April 2024 episode of Fire Country where Mickey tracked down a money launderer in Edgewater. Viewers learned at the time that Mickey was the one responsible for putting Bode behind bars.

Sheriff Country is expected to premiere in the fall of 2025 alongside Fire Country.

CBS President and CEO George Cheeks previously teased that possibly more than one spinoff could be on the way in an interview with Deadline in June 2024.

“We are focused on mass-appeal franchises,” he said. “This season’s number one show was Fire Country, which completely lends itself to building out a whole new universe … It became very clear that not only was the show special, it really felt like this could be a great example of us building together a franchise from scratch. And so I’m like, ‘You guys, congratulations, you got your back nine. Now let’s start talking about ideas for new extensions.’ They’ve already come up with some great ones.”

There have been reports of a possible second Fire Country spinoff starring Jared Padalecki, but the series has not yet been confirmed.
