The second season of Tulsa King is far along into production, and new images have been shared from the set by Sylvester Stallone. Looking rather dapper in his new threads, the actor questions if he’s looking “gangster enough” in the Paramount+ series.
On Instagram, Stallone shared an image of himself in a pinstripe suit with shades on his face and a stogie in his mouth. On the caption of the post, which garnered more than 405K likes in a few days’ time, the actor wrote, “Don’t F*** with Dwight.” Stallone later shared another pair of images from the set wherein he further asked the question, “Is this gangster enough?” He can be seen buttoning up a shirt in one photo while another showcases different pairs of shoes, each one equipped with a shoe tree showcasing his “Sly” nickname.

“I’ve always wanted to play a gangster,” Stallone previously said of his Tulsa King role in a THR interview. “But I wanted to play a unique gangster who is not like a gangster — at least, not when you meet him. He’s actually a guy who likes to cooperate. I thought about Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis. Like, what if you woke up and you were now in a different profession but you had the same personality?
He added, “That way, you don’t assume the automatic cliché of a thug who stares at you dead-eyed… But if he has to get heavy, it’s gonna get real heavy. So I said, “’I’m gonna play him as close to myself as I’ve ever done in my life.’”
Created by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone), Tulsa King debuted on Paramount+ in 2022. The series stars Sylvester Stallone in his first starring role in a television show. He plays Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a Mafia capo who sets out to set up a new empire in Tulsa after getting released from prison. Stallone also executive produces the series with Sheridan, Terence Winter, David C. Glasser, Ronald Burke, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Allen Coulter, and Braden Aftergood.
