Jennifer Landon is behind one of the most memorable Yellowstone characters but who are her celebrity mum and dad?

Jennifer Landon’s parents are well known in Hollywood and Yellowstone fans are curious to learn more.

Yellowstone welcomed the rough-and-tough Teeter (played by Jennifer Landon) in season three and she left quite the impression with her thick Texan accent and fearsome attitude.

She remained in the Paramount Network drama until the first half of season five when patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner) made the decision to get rid of women in the bunkhouse as romance was causing issues for the ranch.

Fans were gutted to see Teeter make her exit and all the more eager to know all there is about the actress behind the cowboy, Jennifer Landon.

One of the most interesting facts about the 40-year-old is that she followed in the footsteps of her parents when it came to the entertainment industry.

Who are Yellowstone star Jennifer Landon’s parents?

Yellowstone’s Teeter actress Jennifer Landon is the daughter of Michael and Cindy Landon.

Cindy is best known as a film producer who has worked on the likes of Whaledreamers, After Kony, Sanctuary and The Game Changers.

But it is Jennifer’s father who would probably be best recognised as he was the lovable Charles Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie.

He also portrayed Little Joe Cartwright in the Western series Bonanza, as well as Jonathan Smith in Highway to Heaven.

Jennifer’s very first role was actually in Highway to Heaven with her dad as “little girl in white house” back in 1989.

Sadly, Michael Landon was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in April 1991, although he tried to remain in high spirits.

He said: “I think you have to have a sense of humor about everything.

“If you’re going to try to beat something, you’re not going to do it standing in the corner.”

Landon died of the disease just a few months later on July 1, 1991, at the age of 54.

Jennifer opened up to Smashing Interviews magazine about how she remembers her father, having lost him when she was just seven-years old.

She said: “When I was little, it took me a while to realize he was really famous. I had no idea.

“In a weird way, there’s something mysterious about the person.

“ I know all parents are mysterious to their children, but I feel like people who are in the public eye have this kind of elusive quality.

“So in a weird way, it’s weird to me that I get to feel close to him the same way that somebody who has never met him would that’s turning on the TV.

“That’s how I do it as well. I do it the same way that anybody who really adored him does it.”

Yellowstone is available to watch on Paramount Network.
