Kevin Costner recently celebrated a significant milestone in his career, with five of his seven children by his side.
Costner’s children attended the Los Angeles premiere of the actor’s new film, Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1 on Monday, June 24. They stood by their father on the red carpet, which took place at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles.
The 69-year-old actor and director posed with his children: Annie, 40, Joe, 36, Cayden, 17, Grace, 14, and Hayes, 15, who also appears in the film. Missing from the event were his daughter Lily, 37, and son Liam, 27. Liam was also notably missing at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Horizon which took place on May 19.
Costner walked the carpet wearing a light tan suit and brown shoes, while sons Hayes and Caden opted for a black on black look. Joe wore a navy blue suit and black tie, while daughters Annie and Grace donned light yellow dresses.
In an interview with PEOPLE that was published on Tuesday, June 25, Costner expressed his joy at sharing this moment with his family. “For a studio [distributor Warner Bros.] to line up behind it to create this environment for us, to celebrate this movie we worked so hard for and one I’ve dreamed about so long, it’s pretty gratifying to understand my children are somewhere watching over me, which they always do — you can imagine that feeling,” he said.
The Yellowstone actor recently addressed the speculation surrounding his relationship with singer Jewel after months of speculation. During a June 18 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Costner clarified his current relationship status, asserting that he is not “in love” with anyone at the moment. When Stern mentioned the rumors about Costner and the singer, which began circulating late last year after they were seen together at an event on Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, as reported by TMZ, Costner set the record straight. “Jewel and I are friends. We’ve never gone out, ever.”
