Kevin Costner spent time on a private island after his divorce from Christine Baumgartner
The actor was spotted on Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands for the Necker Cup which is an exclusive annual tennis tournament. Sources told Page Six he appeared to be in high spirits despite the recent divorce. One insider said: “He was talking to other guests about his upcoming movie projects, and he even screened part of his latest movie.”
Another source said he was active in the events and activities, including scuba diving, sailing, and socialising at dinners. They raved about his kindness, noting that he was “so nice.”
To attend the event, guests reportedly need to pay up to $100,000 (£79,000). The ticket gets you access to play with top tennis stars, an “End of the World” themed party, and some pickle ball games. Branson was apparently “the epitome of the ultimate host,” according to insiders in attendance.
It appears Kevin is moving forward following the brutal divorce battle over the summer. He accused his ex-wife of wiping out the valuables from their home after he reportedly kicked her out. Plus, they had to duke it out over child support issues. Everything settled in September and Kevin has been seen out and about plenty since.
She was awarded $63,209 (£50,100) per month by a court for the former couple’s three children, TMZ reported. Kevin had been temporarily ordered to pay $129,000 per month (around £101,000) in child support prior to the hearing, as previously reported.
Following the divorce, dating rumours between Kevin and Reese Witherspoon sent fans into a frenzy. After Kevin was seen purchasing gifts for seemingly a woman, they jumped to conclusions since Reese recently also went through a divorce. Naughty but Nice podcast host Rob Shuter even ran a poll to find out if fans liked the “new couple”. However, the rumours were swiftly shut down. A representative for Reese told The Mirror: “This story is completely fabricated and not true.”
