It seems like the Duttons will be saddled up for another hard ride, folks. The Season 2 trailer for 1923 just dropped. And let me tell you, season two looks grittier than a dirt road in February. If you thought Season 1 was intense, strap in, because things are about to get even crazier.
Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren returs as Jacob and Cara Dutton, who are working hard to prevent their ranch from falling into the hands of some not-so-nice people. And then, you have Timothy Dalton’s character, Donald Whitfield, still lurking about. Attempting to turn Montana into his personal empire. And let us not forget about Spencer Dutton on his boat ride home.
Now, I can already hear the murmurs of some Montanans who have mixed feelings about this whole Yellowstone craze. Sure, it’s nice to see our state represented on-screen, but we also don’t love what happens when “city folk” show up and think all it takes is purchasing a cowboy hat and suddenly they’re ranchers.
That said, 1923 still delivers some decent entertainment, even if it does attract a few more Californians than we like to see. So if you’re prepared for more shootouts, family feuds, and Montana scenery that is somehow prettier on screen than in real life, be sure to mark your calendar. The second season debuts on Feb. 23 on Paramount+
Oh, and if you haven’t seen the trailer yet, here it is. Pay close attention and you will see the Daly Mansion as well as other Montana landmarks.
What do you think? Are you excited for the new season, or just preparing yourself for even more Yellowstone fanboys descending on Missoula?
