NCIS will be celebrating a major milestone but who is going to be guest starring in the 1000th episode?
NCIS’ 1000th ever episode is on the way and fans are curious to know who is going to be joining the cast for the occasion.
The franchise has been part of CBS viewers’ lives since 2003 when the first ever episode of the mothership, Yankee White, made its big debut.
Now, more than two decades later, and not only is the original drama still thriving, there have been a number of successful spin-offs in Los Angeles, New Orleans, Hawaii and Sydney.
Season 21, episode, A Thousand Yards, will mark the 1000th episode of the entire franchise with the team coming “under attack by a mysterious enemy from the past”.
There will also be a number of recognisable faces joining the usual suspects for what is expected to be an unforgettable instalment.
Who will guest star in NCIS’ 1000th episode?
Kensi Blye – Daniela Ruah
NCIS Los Angeles alumni Kensi Blye is back to help out the Washington team, temporarily leaving behind her husband Marty Deeks (played by Eric Christian Olsen) and the other agents.
Kensi had been in the first NCIS spin-off from the very beginning and despite the show ending after 14 seasons, actress Daniela Ruah is still working on the franchise.
She previously directed a number of NCIS LA episodes and has now shifted over to taking charge behind the cameras on NCIS.
Jane Tennant – Vanessa Lachey
NCIS Hawaii’s team leader Agent Jane Tennant appeared in NCIS earlier this series and will once again to give her friend Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) a helping hand.
Not only does actress Vanessa Lachey star in the NCIS franchise, she is also the co-host of Netflix’s hit reality series Love Is Blind, along with her husband Nick Lachey.
Tobias Fornell – Joe Spano
Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) may no longer be around but his lifelong friend and former FBI agent Tobias Fornell is still here.
With a personal connection to the silver-haired fan-favourite, viewers can expect Gibbs’ name to be mentioned at some point during the special episode.
Actor Joe Spano has been popping up in NCIS for years but he has also been in Hollywoodland, Apollo 13 and NYPD Blue as Detective John Clark Snr.
Jared Vance – Spencer Moore II
As well as dealing with a mysterious enemy, a key plot of this 1000th episode is the appearance of Director Leon Vance’s (Rocky Carroll) son Jared Vance.
Vance will be trying to mend the relationship with his estranged son as he explains why he chooses to stay at NCIS, despite the dangers of the job.
Jared will be portrayed by actor Spencer Moore II who is probably best known for playing Chris Jackson in the drama All American.
Some of his other roles have been in We Are Who We Are, Back On The Strip, The Wonder Years and Creed III.
