Eastwood told the LA Times that the wrangler was concerned. He added:

“She was saying: ‘Be careful, be careful now’. She was scared I’d end up on my rear end. But if you treat the horse like a buddy, he’ll take care of you.”

Clint Eastwood’s determination to push the limits of his body worried the wrangler as shaking off the warning could have led to a huge disaster and would have risked the Pale Rider star’s life. Cry Macho was a long-time passion for Eastwood as he was in search of a chance to adapt to N. Richard Nash’s 1975 novel for decades. The actor and director finally directed and acted in the movie taking on the lead role of a former rodeo rider.

After a decades-long successful career and landing thrilling roles, Clint Eastwood shared his thoughts on retiring from acting as he doubts that his underwhelming performances might give audiences and critics a fair chance to speak about him and he might receive the attention that he never wanted. Talking in the same interview and sharing about his love for directing, the In The Line of Fire star said:

“I’ve gotten to the point where I wondered if that was enough, but not to the point where I decided it was. If you roll out a few turkeys, they’ll tell you soon enough.”
