Known for starring in movies like Rocky and Rambo, Sylvester Stallone has become an iconic Hollywood action star. However, over the course of his extensive career spanning decades, Stallone’s evolving appearance has garnered significant attention and speculation from fans and observers.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Richard Westreich analyzed the shifts in the actor’s facial features over time, suggesting that Stallone may have undergone multiple procedures, including the use of fillers and Botox.
Plastic Surgeon Analysed Sylvester Stallone’s Evolving Appearance
A 2023 report from The Sun shared plastic surgeon Dr. Richard Westreich’s analysis of the Hollywood action star Sylvester Stallone’s potential plastic surgeries. The surgeon shared that the “Stallones are at the early stages” of such procedures.
Dr. Westreich also offered insight into the potential surgeries Stallone may have pursued over the years to keep up with his appearance. “It is known that Sly has had a face left at some point,” he claimed while pointing out that he may also had his “upper lids” done.
Arguing that the 77-year-old actor looked better than before, he also claimed that Stallone might have “had the upper eyelid lift” at the same time as his facelift. He also suggested that the Expendables star could have also injected “Botox and fillers” at different points in time.
“At times he looked a little over-injected,” the surgeon told The Sun before adding, “His brows were arched a lot.” Alongside facial procedures, the plastic surgeon also speculated about Stallone potentially undergoing a hair transplant.
“In some of the older photos where he had darker hair, it almost made him look like he had a hair transplant,” he argued in favor of his assumption. However, it is also important to note that the surgeon has not personally examined or treated Stallone and that his remarks are based on conjecture rather than direct medical evaluation.
Sylvester Stallone Reacted to Alleged Plastic Surgery Rumors
A 1992 report from People, discussed an incident that led the Hollywood star to have a facelift to repair the facial nerve damage he suffered as a child. The report highlighted that due to being delivered with forceps at birth the nerves on the left side of his face were damaged, resulting in a crooked mouth.
When he lost a significant amount of weight for his role in Rocky, it caused sagging on one side of his face. To fix this issue, the actor underwent surgical lifting on the left side of his face. Stallone has acknowledged the scar behind his left ear, a result of the surgery, which some mistake for a facelift scar.
“People see this scar and think I’ve had a face-lift,” he said as he argued that he does not have a similar scar on the right side of his face. He even went on to quip, “What do they think? That I could only afford to have half of it done?”
The actor also shared a positive attitude towards the concept and has argued in its support. “Sure. Why not do it?” he said when asked about pursuing plastic surgery. However, the action star has also not publicly addressed claims about his altering appearance recently, leaving room for speculation regarding potential cosmetic procedures.
