“You’re being stupid,” Tynomi Banks tells Miss Fiercalicious in EW’s exclusive preview, which also reveals guest judges Alessia Cara, Samantha Bee, and more.
Get ready to fry your Canadian bacon in some particularly fiery spice, as Entertainment Weekly’s exclusive debut of the Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World season 2 trailer (and guest judges) is serving drama, mama.
Under the watchful eye of head judge Brooke Lynn Hytes, the first preview of the season ahead (watch above) promises leveled-up drama, with returning Canada’s Drag Race alums Tynomi Banks and Miss Fiercalicious dishing verbal jabs in the Werk Room.
“You’re being extra,” Tynomi tells her sister, who tells the queen, “You’re making things worse!” Tynomi responds, telling Fierce: “No I’m not! You’re being stupid!”
Later, RuPaul’s Drag Race season 3, All Stars 1, and All Stars 5 icon Alexis Mateo admits to being “actually furious” over a prickly situation, and is shown yelling, “Shut the f— up!” at one of her sisters on set. Her fellow Drag Race alum Kennedy Davenport doesn’t tussle with any of her sisters in the clip, but she does come face-to-face with a floating tennis ball while dressed in a head-to-toe black bodysuit lined with tiny dots, so there’s that.
Drag Race UK and UK vs. the World season 1 competitor Cheryl Hole sums up the drama — and, perhaps, the season — in fitting fashion, telling the queens, “I’m not here to win Miss Congeniality again.”
The queens will have the opportunity to show off their congenial side throughout Canada vs. the World season 2, however, as the coveted Golden Beaver twist returns, allowing top-placing queens to save one of the bottom-finishing queens from elimination across the World of Wonder- and Crave-produced series’ six-episode run.
Speaking of fashion, the new trailer also shows off some stunning looks from the queens, from a purple showgirl show-stopper from Alexis to Eureka’s gaggy goggles in her confessionals. Miss Fiercalicious also hits the runway in a jaw-dropping look in which she appears to be pregnant, causing all of the judges to gasp.
EW can also exclusively reveal all of the guest judges heading to Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World season 2, with Real Housewives icon and actress Lisa Rinna joining for a full-episode stint alongside other guest panelists like pop star Alessia Cara, late night talk show host Samantha Bee, musician Charlotte Cardin, designer Kirk Pickersgill, and Drag Race season 11 and All Stars 6 finalist Ra’Jah O’Hara, who won Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World season 1 in 2022.
“Let these hoes have it!” Ra’Jah says from the panel in the trailer, while Rinna playfully questions, “What am I doing here?” in a confessional.
“The world stage is set for the ultimate battle royale,” Mama RuPaul adds to the clip in a voiceover. “Nine divas get back in the ring for a go at glory. Are you ready for a Ru-match?”
In addition to the aforementioned Alexis, Kennedy, Eureka, Tynomi, Cheryl, and Fierce, UK queen Le Fil, French competitor La Kahena, and Canada’s Drag Race season 1 breakout Lemon are all set to contend for the crown on the international all-star edition.
Returning to the show alongside Brooke are co-judges Brad Goreski and Traci Melchor, both of whom have been with Canada’s Drag Race for multiple seasons. Sarain Fox will also rotate on the panel across the episodes.
Amid their Canada vs. the World run, all nine of this season’s queens will attend the upcoming RuPaul’s DragCon LA convention, which kicks off the same day season 2 debuts.
Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World season 2 premieres July 19 on WOW Presents Plus in the United States, on BBC Three in the U.K., and on Crave in Canada.
