Sylvester Stallone Will Come Up Against A Terminator with Latest ‘Tulsa King’ Casting

The third season of Taylor Sheridan’s mob drama Tulsa King is expanding its cast with new additions. Just a couple of days ago, we learned the series would be returning for a third season, and now we’re learning about two actors who will join the Sylvester Stallone-led series. Robert Patrick (of Terminator 2: Judgment Day fame) and Beau Knapp have joined the series in villainous roles (via Deadline), so we can expect a face off against Stallone’s Dwight “The General” Manfredi.

Tulsa King, created by Sheridan, stars the Rocky and Rambo actor as Manfredi, a New York mafia capo exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a prison release, to build a criminal empire. The show, which streams on Paramount+, premiered in 2022 and has garnered critical acclaim (its first season boasts a 79% on Rotten Tomatoes, while the second season holds a perfect rating on the review aggregator).

Patrick, who is best known for his iconic role as the T-1000, the shape-shifting antagonist in James Cameron’s 1991 Terminator sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day, joins as Jeremiah Dunmire, a wealthy liquor tycoon. Knapp joins the cast as Cole Dumire, Jeremiah Dunmire’s son. Both actors will appear as series regulars.

Patrick’s most recent projects include Sheridan’s Yellowstone prequel series 1923 (where he will reprise his role as Sheriff McDowell for the show’s upcoming season), the second season of Reacher, The Night Agent, and Peacemaker. Knapp most recently starred in SEAL Team (which wrapped late last year after seven seasons), and has also appeared in films including 2024’s Road House, The Signal, Southpaw, The Bikeriders, and Run All Night, and shows like Bones and Law & Order.

‘Tulsa King’: Will Stallone’s Reign Continue?

Seasons 1 and 2 of Tulsa King, featuring a talented cast that includes Andrea Savage (I’m Sorry), Martin Starr (Adventureland), Max Casella (The Tender Bar), Domenick Lombardozzi (The Irishman), Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire), Jay Will (Rob Peace), A.C. Peterson (Superman & Lois), Garrett Hedlund (The United States vs. Billie Holiday), Annabella Sciorra (The Hand That Rocks the Cradle), Neal McDonough (Captain America: The First Avenger), and Frank Grillo (The Purge: Anarchy), are available to stream on Paramount+.

Aside from leading the critically acclaimed Tulsa King, Stallone has several projects lined up, including the thrillers The Epiphany and Hunter. Sheridan’s resume also continues to expand. His upcoming projects include 1944, 6666, the yet-to-be-named Beth Dutton & Rip Wheeler spinoff series, the Michelle Pfeiffer-led The Madison, and the anticipated fourth season of Mayor of Kingstown, starring Jeremy Renner.

Given Stallone’s rivalry with Terminator legend Arnold Schwarzenegger and Patrick’s outings in bad guy roles (most notably in The Terminator sequel, The Faculty and The Marine), we’re excited to see how intense things get between Manfredi and Dunmire.

Production for Tulsa King’s third season is currently underway in Oklahoma and Atlanta. No word yet on when we can expect Season 3 of Tulsa King to land on Paramount+, but Seasons 1 and 2 are available on the streamer until then.
